    Talking Spot the animal

    Something different...

I turned this oval bowl the other day, came up all right. We cut this blank from a huuuge tree, it's a local native, do not know the species, bit it sure is nice grain.

There is an animal in there, see if you can spot it...it's looking straight at you, and is not upside down/sideways etc:..."see it"??

Now that you point it out, I can sort of see the horse.

But if you add that horse face to the larger triangular dark chunk to the upper/right above the horse, then I get a wolf/canine face, though the left ear is sort of missing.

That is what I first saw.

LOL! Nice piece...including the imagination factor! If you do figure out what the species is, please post. It's very interesting!

Bengal Tiger here.Dont see much retail value in it, so just ship it over here to me and I will dispose of it for you. You pay the shipping, of course. As you know, just kidding. Man, what fantastic wood you have available to you. Most of our local wood is pretty bland here in Texas. Max

How about looking straight down on the head of a baby Robin. The color is right and the pattern, too.

To find it look for the beak pointing SSW.

It's a North American Hoofpuss. Canicus moximus.

What it's doing down in Oz, I've no idea.
