Never mind on the specs. I just ordered the 12" Makita from Amazon. It includes laser and light and they sell it for $597. However, when I checked out, it was $452 deleivered. I have seen them go for more than that on ebay, plus shipping. Thanks for the tip on Amazon

    Don't forget to download your rebate forms. The 10" gets a free jobsite radio.The 12" gets a free 18V li-ion drill kit,worth $200.

Oh my gosh I love Amazon. What am I missing here??? I just ordered the 12 inch with laser and light, 452 delivered. I will sell the free 18 volt drill set on ebay for 80% of what amazon is asking for a new one which will be around 160 dollars. Take that off of the saw price and you get the saw for 292 dollars. Now that is a great deal.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 12" 1214FL also. Already had a yellow non slider, but deals like this don't come your way too often.

Well, Amazon owes SMC a percentage for all the saws this forum sold. I went for the 12" also. I see four, anyone want to make five.

    Thanks for the GREAT tip.

I pulled the trigger on the 1214FL for $452 shipped. Time to sell my Hitach C10FSH and C10FCH. I have a Bosch 4212L and may sell that too if I really like the Makita. Ships in 2-5 weeks, gives me time to cancel if I change my mind.

If it is anything like the 10" you are not going to like it, you are going to love it.

Told my brother about the deal. He already had the 10" model and was pissed I got the 12 for less than he paid for the 10. Says he's going to order the 12", sell it, and give the drill to his FIL for his birthday. Said this way he should get some brownie points from his wife, because she (and he) would think he spent big bucks for her dad's present.
    LMAO
