Awesome. I got one of these back when I had the 890PK set and when I gave it away the router I gave away the guide. Wife said I could not be an Indian giver. Now that I have the 618pk sets from Dewalt, I wanted one of the guides again to modify to use with the routers. This is the price I was looking for. Thankyou.
Glad its my shop I am responsible for - I only have to make me happy.

Mike, I also have the DeWalt 618 series routers. From your experience, do you think it would be hard to modify the PC guide to fit the DeWalt 618 routers? Thanks, Bill

Its brother model PC42700 can be modifed to use with Dewalt routers, or most routers for that matter. The only difference between the PC42690 and PC42700 is that the PC42700 has a longer bar, which can be bought from PC as a replacement part (about $8 IIRC).

The DW bases requires 10 cm between the rods. The bar of the PC42690 is shorter than 10 cm.

All you need to do to adapt the PC42700 to other routers is to drill and tap two holes for two long bolts with their heads chopped off (I use 3/8" bolts for the DW). In fact, I sold my DW edge-guide because I had no use for it. I prefer the PC edge guide.

Thanks for posting this and the link Hoa. Nice job on adapting the edge guide. I might give it a shot. Bill
