what to charge??

Im starting to do work for other ppl besides my family and im not sure what to charge?
what do you guys charge???
I have a tv stand to make. - its shaker style ( has 4 draws and 1 door out of maple) with a solid black maple top
I guess that im going to charge about $600 for it
do you think im in the ballpark or not even close?
should i just have a set shop rate ? and if so what should i charge i really dont want to under charge
