    Classic Amboyna's

    Hi,

I had some fun today at the annual Hamilton Woodshow. I was able to turn a few pens in the Golden Horseshoe Woodturning club booth, meet some old friends and also other penmakers.

These are two Gentlemen’s roller ball pens (Craft Supply) that I turned with amboyna burl (From William Woodwrite) and finished with a CA top coat

One with a touch of sap wood

    Take care,
    Jim

Jim, you make some of the most elegant pens I've seen. And these are no exception. They're both beauties!

Really nice job. Isn't amboyna burl the greatest? The figure in that is amazing. Very nice job.

    Thanks very much guys,

I love amboyna, so I turn it when I am convinced I have the right wood and the best hardware to compliment it...unless a paying client asks otherwise..

    Glenn,

The hip is doing great, thanks for asking. The Dr says I can return to the crease come September, really missing the game and my team ... it's in the blood, eh!
    Take care,
    Jim
