Rustc outdoor bench?

Since we moved into our new digs, LOML would like me to build a few rustic benches to put in the woods behind the house. She would like a thick seat with maybe the natural bark on the edge, and no back. Anyone seen any pictures of something like this?

Also, what kind of wood would be good? There is a sawmill nearby that can probably cut me a few slabs. I am thinking white oak?

I have seen something like this but I just cannot find the website. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you want because it's very very simple. Two chunks of log support the slab. The slab can be fastened [or not] to the supports.

Have you considered the Aldo Leopold bench? They're kind of neat.
