    Tool Gloat - MAKA Mortiser

Here's a pic of the latest shop addition. It is a MAKA M6-11 oscillating chisel mortiser. 230V 3ph. Powered it up for the first time a few minutes ago, it works great.

Does anybody know where to buy tool bits for a mortiser like this?
Any idea where to get a manual or parts for one of these?

    Thanks,
    Rob

Nice machine Rob. For tooling on this I would check with WoodTech Enterprises in North Carolina or Ballew Saw and Tool in Springfield, MO. If you call Ballew, Jack is probably the one to talk to.

Rob, nice gloat. I've never seen one, but it really looks like it will do the job for you.

big time mortiser hope this might help

This Powermatic 400 mortiser is in near new condition. The things I see wrong with it is the bottom of the switch was pulled down when disconnected. Someone got too close to the back of the table and scratched it. There is some paint chips but no wear. Also the back of the table has some tarnish. I tried to show in the pictures. It looks like it was used only long enough to scratch the back of table and loose the chuck and the rest of the chisels. The one in the machine is the only one I have. I tried it out and the chisel part is dull.
Everything works and I doubt you could find one in this good a condition used.

I used one of those working at a Teak furniture builder years ago. It will go 24-7 and ask for more.
Don't know where to get the bits tho.
    Enjoy using it.
