    Rustic Arbor

Hi everyone here are a few pictures of my latest outdoor project .
This arbor is made from discarded pine branches that were headed to the fire pit .
It is 7 ft square and 13 ft high . I also added a weathervane , 4 ft chimes and a pair of hanging plants .

It's rustic and majestic. I love it! I bet it was a lot of fun to build.

    Great job!

Man, there has got to be an overachiever in every crowd!

Excellent work, John! Is this for your place, or a customer?

How long did this take you?

    Regards,

    Dustin

Thank you gentlemen for the nice comments . This arbor took me 4 days to build on and off .I used 5" and 6" galv nails for all the main frame including rafters , 3 1/2" screws and 2 1/2" galv . finish nails for the rest .
The hardest part is cutting the logs on the mitre saw . They have a habit of kicking back if it,s not completely flat to the surface .I also used a chainsaw , skill saw and reciprocating saw .This is the third time building one . I have been offered to sell them but for now they are all in my yard .

Here are the other two that i did .

If you only took one trip to the hardware store, you didn't do it right.

Thank you Chris , We get about 4 -6 ft on a average most of the time . I usually get buried in a few times a year .
