I can think of nothing more dangerous than watching television when using machinery. Especially a table saw.
Seriously .. Its just football...

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. It looks like a digital readout to me.

Are you saying .. its not HD compatable?
Hmmm..
Martin calls that the basic model. Im betting the deluxe model....
A local cabinet maker has one of those. Cost like $25,000. Nice saw, really nice.
Im sure you have to be joking about thinking that is a TV right?
I don't know what to say
Yes, and these machines also have the ability to insure your shop floor will not accidentally levitate...so the picture stays steady, too!

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Yah get the deluxe model and it comes with a 75" plasma AND a combination infrared and ultrasound sensor that shuts the machine down if you accidentally go to set your beer on the blade.
I think there is a cooler in the body too.
Martin really is the final answer in the wonderful world of sliders.
In all seriousness... what is the lcd display for? Can you set the blade height and angle with those buttons under the lcd?
oooh yeah, I used to work on an Altendorf slider, just amazing machines.
I was shown a REAL video safety hazard recently probably more dangerous than this tongue-in-cheek one. My son married a girl from Japan. We were there for the wedding and her father was showing me his new luxury Honda. It had an in-dash display for GPS, etc., but my heart skipped a beat when he tuned in a live TV broadcast! Imagine the accidents in the U.S. if drivers were allowed to watch TV!

You can have TV in the front in the US, BUT it will disable once the car starts to move. Maybe its the same in that car.
A lot of caddy owners were upset they could not make certains changes to their Nav/TV while the care was moving.
Brad:
They do, I have seen this. Was comming thru town one evening, and an SUV passed me on right, I noticed guy was watching a TV mounted in an overhead console, I slowed down and let him get far in front of me. It's bad enough when you notice the car beside you going down the hiway has a lady putting on lipstick, talking on a cell phone, and doing 70. Can you imagine a guy doing 70 at night and watching Spice TV . I want my own private hiway.

Safety Hazard????
Obviously it's the educational display, you know, where you can watch Norm make a crosscut sled while you mimic all his techniques. (Except of course, no guard, riving knife or hearing protection).
Of course, at the end, you have a crosscut sled for a Martin slider, which causes the Martin Police to come over, confiscate your saw, and leave a dunce cap for you..

I've got one of those on my best saw. Unfortunately my best saw is a Japanese dozuki and it displays a paper scroll painting of mountains and flowers.
