    Unhappy Need Help Again

My Son allowed me, a novice to cut down his T.V. Stand. It was five feet tall. It needed to be less than 24 inches. It was a sucess. Everything came out beatuiful, If I knew how to down load pictures I would, But I don't so I won't. While attempting to load it in his vehicle it became stuck he pulled it out, being an impatient youth. The top has a nick,in it now. Not as to where the wood is missing, but rather pushed in,a dent if you will. Can I use the old tried and true "WET CLOTH AND IRON" to pull out the dent or try somthing else. This is Hard Maple Solid Wood One Piece Top. I think next time he will allow us to deliver it to him in our truck.

Yes, but don't get the cloth too wet. If the finish clouds under the iron, once the dent is raised reheat the area with a dry towel and hot iron. That should remove the moisture from under the finish.
