    New Trend Airshield Pro

Anyone have the "New" Airshield Pro? It looks more comfortable
than my old one. If you have it please review it for me.
    Thanks.

    Trend Pro

I purchased the Pro model about two months ago. I had the earlier version and have the 3M "Raycor". The pro is better than either one. I still use the Raycor because it is a bit lighter. The Pro is not just an upgrade it is an entirely new powered respirator. I inquired about the filtration and found that it is 95% of less than 3 microns which is vastly superior to the older model and 3M. The pro is better balanced and easier to fit. It seems to be a bit more noisey but that is because of better airfolw and also tighter fit overall. The battery is chargef while still in the helmet. With the battery pack on the top rear of your head the balance is great. If you have the olderTrend this one will really impress you. Darryl

    Battery charge

No it still takes many hours to recharge but the battery life is 8hours. It also has a warning beep that sounds in incrementally louder tones when the battery is getting low. I think the recharge time is due to a lower amp charger that does have a safety factor in that the battery won't be damaged with too long a charge rate. Did I mention that the inside is different as well. your head is completely covered with a "shroud" like thingy. It allows for the wearing of ear muffs if one wanted. It is a good unit much better than the first Trend. Which I liked by the way Darryl
