I also really like it. I would love to see pictures when the finish is done, with doors open / closed /etc.

Thanks fellas. I'll certainly post up some better photos as soon as I have them.

Just a quick note; it must be a proper planing robe

Looks great in its new home! The line of dovetails across the top is a lovely intricate detail on a clean design. Will look forward to more photos.

Beautiful work. I like the lighter colored sapwood - always have liked the contrast. Very nice joinery work.

I've been digesting this thread for a while, trying to fully grok all of your design decisions. All I can say is: "Wow". You've left me speechless, particularly with your ability to adapt to changing requirements and still achieve a cohesive whole. Obviously a very high level of both design/vision and technique here.

Thanks Gents, appreciate the kind words!

Funny thing is, and I wonder if you guys feel the same way when you complete a project with a long time line. I feel like something is missing from the workshop. I'm going to have to move some slabs of wood or something into the space until a new project starts.

I may not understand the feeling you're referring to, but I tend to feel a mild sense of disappointment when a project is complete. But I think that's a good sign that you enjoy the process more than the result... enjoying the process/journey is the whole point!

Or do you just mean that it feels weird to have more available space in the shop?

That turned out none too shabby And yes, another vote for more pictures.

I know the empty feeling when something is finished and installed.

    Wow!

I like the fact that you left your markout on the non-cosmetic surfaces. It's almost a calling card of sorts...
