I've found numerous wooden toy train plans/ideas online, just not the one that trips my trigger, yet. Does anyone have any plans they like and would share? Thanks

Check out "The Great All American Wooden Toy Book" by Norm Marshall. It has some great toys including a train. My grandkids have several toys from his book. The pans include a train.

Here are three websites where you can buy plans for trains:
http://www.gattoplans.com/store/index.htm
http://toysandjoys.com/patterns-and-kits/trains/
http://www.toymakingplans.com/websit...php?cat=trains
And then there's this one plan from Wood Magazine, which is my favorite:

Do any of these "turn your crank"?
Perhaps you could provide links to the plans you've found?
And definitely let us know what you wind up with.
****EDIT/ADD***
In addition to the "Great American Wooden Toy Book", I have another book which features a couple of decent train plans. I'll try to remember to look it up when I get home.

Thanks to all of the suggestions. FYI, I ordered the toy book and one of the plans for starters. I appreciate the suggestions.

I checked mine as well. The only other book I have with train plans, had plans that were so-so. "The Weekend Woodworker" by Nelson.
I've also downloaded a decent free locomotive plan that appears to have been taken from the ShopSmith train plans:

I got the book - looks good. Better for me looked like plans from "Toys and Joys." In fact, I ordered another set of plans from it today.
Thanks again to all of the suggestions; very much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
