Just amazing!!! You are very talented!
An interesting thing about the finish suggestions is the lack of true evidence. As a scientist by trade, I find it very interesting there have been no specific studies on the effect of chips from...
We need a Paul Harvey "Rest of the Story" update.....
If I ever got a lathe to do this you've made the directions very simple!!! Thanks.
I must admit I, too, hoard every piece of wood I can find. Worst thing is after I make something I keep every scrap too....no matter how small! There is probably no way I'll ever use that 2 X 1/2 X...
Hi,
Since my last plan endeavor here on the Creek ended in success I thought I'd ask the wonderful people here about a new set of plans I'm looking for.
I'm looking for plans for folding...
I was going to post some pictures but then thought it might either A) not be allowed and B) wouldn't want to offend someone by taking their work and posting a photo without their permission.
Hello,
I'm looking for a folding business card holder design. I found one from the Wood Magazine store but am not that impressed....looking more for one that is solid wood design.
I heard...
I got the same email and after filling out all the information my Nigerian IRS agent told me I had to send them money before I get my refund check as they would be able to double it and add it to the...
Wow...again! Love those corners. I know you got that technique from someone else here on the Creek but I have to ask a question....do you route a groove for the piece to sit in or is it thin enough...
Wow...you've done it again! Amazing!
That is one of the nicest slide shows I've ever seen....wish there were more pics!!!! Couldn't get all of them on the hinges to load.
Bill,
Gotta ask you....on your humidors, how do you make sure you have a super tight fit so humidity does not get out or in? Any tricks?
Congrats on the humidors. Nice!
I like the slanted tray look...didn't yours used to be straight?
Any trick to getting those nice slanted inserts?
This isn't your full time biz? WOW...you ARE good!
Amazing as always.
Thanks for all the replies....looks like I wasn't crazy when I took a second look at the cutting boards. For a second I thought I had missed out on a great use for red cedar. ;)
I tend to agree...hence the questions here....I found it odd that the lady at the show had them for pastry use. I thought maybe I was missing something that the rest of the woodworkers knew.
Yeah...the soft part would most definitely be a problem...but I, too, was wondering more about the poison part of it...all the oils, etc.
I've always used aromatic eastern red cedar for making small boxes and cedar chests. A while back I was at a craft show where a woman was selling end grain cutting boards made out of the stuff as...
I sign mine with glue drips, sanding scratches, and dust in the finish. When I get better I'll figure out a way to put my name on it.
Found this little rant on craigslist and found it amusing...

I found a guy who was selling bulk rubber bumpers. They are really nice with recessed screw holes and are about 1/2 inch or so. Work perfectly. Before that I used to use the sticky bumpers and had...
Competition is good....I'll do it for $900.
WOW! Love that second one!!!
Tutorial needed! ;)
