Congratulations Keith! Your will REALLY, REALLY like this lathe. I've had mine for a year and a half and I cannot see how I managed to work on the older lathe I had.

It'l be like Christmas morning waiting for that delivery truck to roll up to your house.

A proper lathe is just going to suck you in even further

    Congratulations,

    Torment!!!

Well I got my 18" extension today!! But the lathe is on backorder, talk about torment Having that thing sitting on the bench just waiting to be mounted. I should have the lathe by the end of the month though

And here is the proof I got the extension!

You could take it out of the box and decorate it with Christmas lights like I did my lathe! Might make you feel better!

I'm in the same situation, enjoying my new 18" bed extensions sans lathe. They must have sold a lot of them.

I will think about you waiting while mine is spinning. Hope it comes quick. That sale must have worked.

    Thanks

Yes, it sure looks like the sale worked. I have seen several people have ordered them.

    It's here!!!!!

Well I left work for a couple hours to take delivery of the lathe.

Then had to head back to work and will spend the evening opening it up.

Unfortunately when the truck arrived the power lines were too low, good thing I had a stack of OSB laying around

Hey, no fair ---you didn't have to carry yours into the basement! You are really going to like that lathe.

    Congrats Keith!

You can start collecting green logs now rather than OSB.

    I love my monster.

    Assembled!

Well when I got home this afternoon, I couldn't open the box fast enough! I borrowed a pallet jack from work to move the crate in the shop and borrowed my dad's HF lift cart to assemble the lathe. The whole process went much quicker than I thought. I had to call my dad and ask him to pick up a plug on his way over. Here are a few shots of the assembly and my little helpers.
