thoughts on these two mini lathes?.

I have been researching the Rikon 70-050vs and the Grizzly 0658vs and both have have been well received with many favorable comments. The G0658 appears to have a good following here on SMC.I have a tiny Grizzly 9247vs with #1mt and have turned only pens but want to start turning larger projects like bowls, peppermills ect.The G0658vs has more hp and distance between centers with an option to turn outboard and is priced at $529.00 shipped,it also weigh's more by 35lbs.The Rikon is 1/2 hp,16" between centers, both have the same swing of 12",The Rikon has an optional bed extension the G0658 does not.Highland Woodworking has the Rikon on sale at $292.00 with shipping(original price $429.00).Is the G0658 worth the extra $$$ for its increased hp and turning capacity?.Any recommendatons would be appreciated.

I have the Rikon and love it. Rikon support is excellent as well. Have heard some serious complaints about Grizzly support.

Well I missed Highland Woodworking's sale on the Rikon(while quantities last) by a few orders according to the guy on phone,I was bummed he was bummed.$306.00 shipped is hard to beat!...So after reading the favorable comments here on SMC on the G0658 I went ahead and placed my order for this lathe earlier today...$529.00 shipped keeps me near my original budget...Looking forward to more turning and learning...thx
