Someone gave me an old all wooden hand screw clamp. It is stamped H. HOLLMAN on the ends. Anyone know any history about this. I could not find anything on line.

50/50 chance Mr. Hollman stamped it so his colleagues would not walk off with it.
That was my initial thought, but it is so perfectly stamped and spaced and on both ends that I began to think otherwise. There are some initials stamped on the side that I feel confident were personal marks. if nobody here saw it before I would have to believe in your take on it.

Hi Ron,
From my reading on the old wooden planes, from the 1800s etc., it was standard practice for the owner to stamp his name on the end, in the end grain of the plane. My guess this is the case with your clamp.
