Setback is the key. I just did a ballpark check with the grinder off and marking the grind with a black sharpie. With just the standard v-arm and sticking the gouge out way further than I normally do (on my stubby Ben's Best gouges), and properly lined up the grind. I measured the set back and it was just under 3.5" on my PSI jig. The leg tightening handle is in the way on one side, so I'll change it to just a nut.
I need to set up a new grinder with my sharpening system, so I'll fine tune and actually grind it then.
Matt, the PSI vari-grind jig is a little different than the wolverine, but I bet you can get back to the original grind by sticking the gouge out a similar distance.
